Timber garages are many and varied in shape and form. We can build a standard single or double garage with up and over doors, or we can build a custom or bespoke design to your specification if you have something a little more unusual in mind.
Don't forget, we can take control of the complete job, right from the groundwork, to the very last fitting, or if you prefer, we can liaise with your chosen contractor and do as much or as little as you choose.
Timber garages can include as many (or as few) fixed windows to meet your requirements. A personal door is also a popular option requested by many.
Joinery made casement windows and doors can be fitted as an option to any of our timber garages, along with several roofing options including, felt shingle tiles, green mineral felt, composite slate tiles, or even clay or concrete tiles (NB. The use of clay or concrete tiles substantially alters the construction of the building to accommodate the extra weight).
We rarely ever make two garages the same, examples of the many and varied can be seen in our Timber Garage Gallery.
As standard our timber garages use the popular ‘Onduline’ roofing system, and are constructed using 75mm x 50mm framing and a choice of cladding from featheredge (weatherboard), T&G shiplap or T&G loglap.
A standard size single garage measures 5.4m x 3.0m and is fitted with a standard size 2.0m high by 2.1m wide 'up and over' door.
A pair of full framed ledge and brace timber doors can be specified as an alternative.
Our timber garages are designed to be installed on at least 1 brick course on a concrete base**. We can do this for you, contact us for a no-obligation site survey.
**Buildings subject to local council building control regulations, may need a more complex footing.
A standard size double garage measures 5.4m x 5.4m and is fitted with 2, 2.0m high by 2.1m wide 'up and over' doors.
Full framed ledge and brace timber doors can be specified as an alternative.
